Worsley leisure centre underwent major refurbishment works and DL M&E Building Services were engaged to undertake the design development and M&E installation works. DL M&E Building Services undertook an upgrade to the mains incoming supply, which also included upgrades required to the submains cabling. The works included the full fit-out of a modern gym area with open ceilings, where all the M&E services were on show, completing the industrial look of the gym area. New HVAC systems were installed, along with new power and lighting to the space During the refurbishment the changing rooms were modernised with new sanitaryware, hand dryers and new lighting.
Two dance studios were modernised, with the reuse of the existing specialist lighting and music systems, which needed to be carefully removed, stored and refitted upon completion of the refurbishment. A pool alarm system was fitted to the existing pool and the reception area was modernised with new external lighting.
As part of the scheme we also undertook the modification and extension to the AV, security and fire alarm systems.
