Ben has been a part of DL M&E since 2007 and is responsible for all matters relating to production, quality, programming and health and safety. He has a wealth of experience in the industry and expertise across multiple sectors such as corporate fitouts, large retail outlets and retail banking refurbishments and renewals. Ben builds and develops the work-streams within the business to ensure the client’s requirements are met first time, every time.

Angela is a highly experienced and versatile office and finance manager who ensures that the office functions run smoothly and effectively. She is a conscientious, hard-working all-rounder, who can turn her hand to anything. Angela has worked for DL from its beginnings and been a key player in the company's growth, having been with the company for 14 years and watched it go from strength to strength. Her vast industry knowledge and friendly persona makes her a highly respected member of the team.

Initially coming to us with a strong design background, Gary has developed through the business to his current position as Mechanical Operations Director. He leads the team of mechanical project managers and designers, ensuring that projects are kept on track and delivered without issue. With outstanding supplier management skills and strong industry expertise, Gary is always one step ahead, capable of recognising any potential issues before they arise.

Mike is responsible for developing some of DL M&E’s largest client frameworks. He takes control of a workstream from the initial concept through to delivery. With his proactive approach he has developed and maintained many strong client relationships. Mike has the skill, knowledge and adaptability to deal with the complex and challenging issues that the industry faces on a daily basis.

Highly respected for his conscientious and hardworking approach, Paul has a natural aptitude for getting the job done and getting it right first time. Paul’s vast experience covers most market sectors along with new build, refurbishment and fit-out. He has made many strong and lasting client relationships built on trust and integrity.

Simon oversees all commercial aspects of the business including project profitability. Reliable and hardworking, Simon is highly respected by everyone he works with. Originally coming from a Project Management and Quantity Surveying background has provided him with the ability to see the bigger picture and to balance the needs of the business whilst fulfilling the client’s exact requirements.

Adam is an engineer with a strong drive and sharp focus, always taking a proactive approach with a commitment to efficiency. Beginning his career as a Field Service Engineer, Adam's contributions were instrumental in achieving project objectives. His innate creativity enables him to tackle design challenges with innovative solutions. As a crucial member of the design team with expertise in thermal modelling software he is able to complete diverse design projects effectively. His proven track record of delivering results and his dedication to excellence make him an valuable asset to the team.

Andrew is a successful retail and banking programme manager. He has an extensive portfolio in these sectors with many repeat schemes along with various individual projects. He ensures everyone in his team is aware of their commitment and contribution to a project and ensures they operate smoothly and successfully.

Angela worked for several years in document control prior to joining DL as Operations Co-ordinator. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience working in the Engineering Sector and is familiar with Operational processes. Angela is a key all-rounder within her department and is an effective team-player. She has a professional approach, and her calm nature enables her to effectively deal with the most challenging administrative tasks. She is a valuable member of the DL team.

Charlotte Ivill joined the business in 2017 as an Operations Administrator and then progressed into her role of Training & Fleet co-ordinator, dedicated to overseeing fleet logistics and delivering effective training programs for staff. With a keen eye for detail and great organisational skills, she ensures the smooth co-ordination of vehicle operations and employee development. Charlotte excels in fast-paced environments, handling multiple tasks with efficiency which makes her a valued member of the DL team.

Chris has vast experience in all aspects of the building services industry but specialises in electrical works. He began his journey with us as an M&E Foreman and, after proving himself a knowledgeable and reliable employee, progressed to his current position as a Project Manager. Chris’s attention to detail and high standard of care when completing projects are second to none.

Since joining DL, Dan has established a reputation for delivering complex projects with precision and efficiency. With an ability to stay calm in all situations, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence, Dan has been instrumental in ensuring that all projects not only meet, but exceed industry standards.

As a highly experienced engineer, David is ideally placed in our team to preside over some of DL M&E’s most advanced mechanical works. Dave embarked on his career journey at DL M&E as an 'on site' Mechanical Supervisor, swiftly ascending the ranks to Trainee Project Manager, Project Manager, and eventually Senior Project Manager. Now, as an M&E Contract Manager, he leads a team of project managers, ensuring projects' viability from inception to completion. With a wealth of experience in overseeing detailed projects, Dave's leadership ensures each endeavour exceeds expectations.

Following his college education, Dean first joined DL in late 2023 as an apprentice design engineer. Over his time at the company, he’s developed increasing proficiency in building design and become trained to observe the details necessary to complete the work to the required level. He's also working towards a building services level 3 qualification as part of his apprenticeship. We are delighted to support our apprentices in this dynamic way of learning on the job.

Gareth first started with DL in a part time role utilising his skills in inventory oversight whist also working as an Official Auxiliary for the Civil Service, inspecting premises for legislator compliance. Recognition of his excellent work gained him an opportunity for a full-time position as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor. Since starting the role, Gareth has developed deeper insights in the financial running of DL projects and is learning his new trade through the vastly experienced commercial team around him. Gareth has recently started his first stage of learning, applying himself to complete an HNC in Quantity Surveying.

Ged served in the British Army as a Royal Corps of Transport Driver based in the UK and Germany. He then went on to train as an Apprentice Heating Engineer, but also gained experience carrying out AC installations. He worked for several years in HVAC installation and service & maintenance, before moving into Project Management and Estimating. Ged joined DL as Mechanical Estimator and is a key player in the team.

Gemma has a great eye for detail and a methodical and precise approach to her work, whether it’s working on payroll or job costing. She has the ability to turn her hand to almost anything and uses her versatility on a regular basis throughout the business. Her friendly and professional attitude make her a popular member of our team and a pleasure to work with.

Gordon oversees CAD design within DL M&E. He has previously worked for various consultants, developing M&E schemes. He has brought extensive experience and knowledge to the team, which has allowed him to create the CAD department and develop it to the high standard it is today.

Jamie, with 18 years of experience in the electrical industry as an electrician and site foreman, has returned to DL M&E as a project manager, where he originally began his apprenticeship in 2006. Hardworking and motivated, Jamie excels at every task and works effectively as a team player to ensure successful project completion.

A fully qualified 18th edition approved electrician and electrical site manager, with over 17 years’ experience working on commercial, industrial, and domestic projects, Jason is adept at reading and working from architectural drawings and project specifications, whilst communicating with others to ensure everyone has a good understanding of the project, however large or small. Jason is a welcome addition to DL’s Project Management Team.

Josh started his career with DL M&E as a Junior Mechanical Designer and has a history of working on large scale commercial jobs as a commissioning engineer. His experience on site led him to a career in design and has since gained his HNC whilst at DL alongside gaining knowledge using the latest thermal modelling software. Today, Josh holds a key role within the design team, contributing significantly to project success.

Beginning his career as an electrician led Josh to gain over a decade of experience in the construction industry, and his history of delivering positive results in the domestic, commercial and industrial sectors makes him ideally suited to his current role. Undergoing further training through DL M&E’s established group of Commercial professionals is helping Joshua to establish himself as a proficient Quantity Surveyor.

Julie joined DL as Operations Assistant Manager but having had experience and training in health and safety, and had a specific interest in this side of the business, she progressed into the role of SHEQ Manager and is currently responsible for managing health and safety across the organisation. Julie efficiently manages a small team of administrators and effectively manages compliance with health and safety regulations and ISO Standards. Julie has NEBOSH National Certificate, Level 5 Diploma in Human Resource Management and ILM Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management. Julie’s talent in interdepartmental communications and employee engagement has made her exceptionally effective in her role.

Liam’s knowledge in HVAC installation comes from his many years of experience in this sector. During his time at DL M&E he has gained a reputation for being a conscientious and adept Project Manager. Liam is a core member of the team who can be relied upon to provide exceptional service to our clients.

Lisa is an integral part of the DL M&E office and is held in very high esteem by all her colleagues. Since joining she has worked in many core departments where she has always excelled. Notably, Lisa oversaw the S.H.E administration where she devised and implemented many of our working practices. Lisa is now part of our Commercial Team where she aids in the development of our Commercial department.

Joining in 2015, Matt began his career at DL M&E as an intermediate design engineer. His experience and knowledge allowed him to quickly develop his work set beyond building services design, being tasked with overseeing tender packages, client and consultant liaison, as well as developing the more complex designs of larger projects. Continued success saw Matt promoted over time where today he now operates as the Design Manager for DL M&E. Matt is not only responsible for the day to day planning of design activities for DL M&Es relentless workstream, but also manages the CAD team workload, BIM processes and implementation, BREEAM compliance and apprentice training and development.

As a vastly experienced CAD Designer, Max joined DL to enhance the CAD capabilities within the company. He works on all disciplines of Building Services, working across all aspects of the M&E scope of works. His experience and knowledge within the industry sector, retail, leisure, hotels, HMP, MOJ, NHS, education and office developments is second to none. He is self motivated with a great work ethic, helping to continue their ever improving CAD resources in the company. A great member of the team.

A highly effective administrator who excels in finance, Melanie heads DL M&E’s Payroll department. She is a gifted and resourceful manager who maintains the company accounts and handles the pressures and obstacles of her role with composure.

Since completing his apprenticeship in 1986, Michael has remained within the electrical industry and has therefore many years’ experience within building services. He has worked in estimating and management throughout his career and has a wealth of knowledge and skills within the commercial sector. Michael’s excellent time-management skills enable him to meet restrictive deadlines in a calm and collective manner, and he works in harmony with our multi-disciplined team.

Paul has been in media related work for over 30 years and is experienced across a broad spectrum of communications and marketing strategy. He has moved forward the development of content and digital marketing for both the charity and construction sector and is proficient with contemporary technology stacks. Paul creates and leverages our digital and offline assets, co-ordinating branding through messaging, web design, graphic design layout, video and photography, providing excellent B2B communications. Paul’s passionate about telling DL’s story, interpreting industry-wide values and presenting the very best of what DL does.

Roz joined our accounts team in 2017. She brought with her a wealth of experience both in accounts and overall administrative duties. She has the ability to assimilate new information very quickly which allows her to work independently. She has become a valued member of the the team who can be relied upon to deal with all tasks and enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

Ryan specialises in overseeing project financials, ensuring cost efficiency, and delivering strategic value to clients and stakeholders. His expertise span across contract management, risk mitigation, and commercial strategy—helping organisations maximise profitability and maintain strong client relationships. He has a proven track record of managing complex projects from initial bid to completion, negotiating contracts, and optimising commercial operations to ensure compliance and profitability. Ryan thrives in fast-paced environments, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.

Sam Young began on his professional journey as an apprentice mechanical design engineer straight from high school, joining the business in September, 2022. Still working in the industry as an apprentice Sam has demonstrated a sharp intelligence for problem-solving, eye for detail and developed a dedication to his profession. Sam has swiftly become an important member of the team.

Sam first joined DL via the electrical apprenticeship scheme and has recently transferred into the office, to train as a CAD technician. In this role he will work in conjunction with Project Managers and other members of the design team to produce accurate drawings for site personnel as well as DL's client base. Throughout this course, Sam's prior experience on site has given him the ability to develop his knowledge in design and the day-to-day operations within this role, to clearly understand the inner workings of an MEP installation.

With a BSc (Hons) in Business Management and an extensive background in Learning & Development, Sandra has honed her skills as a Fleet and Training Coordinator. Embracing change and growth, she's now transitioned into a Trainee Quantity Surveyor role, reflecting her adaptability and commitment to continuous learning. This September, she will further her expertise by pursuing an MSc in Quantity Surveying, preparing to contribute her diverse experience and fresh insights to the field.
