DL were appointed following a successful bid in a competitive 2 stage tender process as part of the ongoing GPA framework. The project was awarded on a D&B contract with DL to progress from Riba Stage 2 - 7 utilising our inhouse design and delivery team.
As part of the GPA framework the project had a requirement for BIM level 2 and a BREAM target of excellent was to be achieved. DL liaised directly with the GPA team and consultants throughout an intense design & procurement period to ensure the clients expectations where achieved.
To meet the sectional completion dates required by the client team an accelerated construction programme was proposed with an initial 12 week period of 7 day working and 24hr shifts.
Due to the complexity of the installation and the pace of the project comprehensive management and integration with other trades was crucial
The project achieved all sectional handovers and PC was achieved in line with the original construction programme.
Following completion DL received a customer satisfaction score of 9.5/10 from the GPA which was described as a ‘fantastic achievement’ by the client team.
