DL M&E were engaged by a longstanding corporate banking framework partner, following their recent acquisition of new premises in Andover. The project involved an extensive Cat B modification project with the primary goal of aligning the MEP systems of the Tech Rooms with the client's MEP standards while enhancing the overall workspace holistically.
Key Project Initiatives:
- Implementation of new split air conditioning systems within tech rooms on an N+1 basis, complete with drip trays and water leak detection.
- Introduction of new Mitsubishi heat recovery systems in the main area for efficient supply and extraction of conditioned air.
- Installation of new extract systems.
- Creation of new Changing Places and Shower Rooms.
- Repurposing of existing locker room into a modern breakout room with a new kitchenette, providing a versatile and collaborative workspace.
- Comprehensive upgrade of both male and female WC areas, incorporating new sanitaryware, fixtures, and fittings to elevate sustainability and user experience.
- Installation of a dedicated distribution system to ensure generator backed resilience for the upgraded air conditioning equipment, guaranteeing continuous operation during power outages.
- Installation of new power distribution by means of new power poles within work areas.
The project was undertaken in a live environment, demanding meticulous coordination across various installations to minimize disruptions to ongoing operations. Effective communication and a well-coordinated schedule were paramount in overcoming these challenges and ensuring the seamless execution of the modifications.
