It was a fabulous, sunny family fun day at Westhoughton Lions Rugby League Club on Saturday, where DL M&E Building Services are proud sponsors of this wonderful local community club.

‍It was LION FEST, a day aimed at family fun with a selection of children's rides, bouncy castles, stalls, live music and of course rugby league. It was the club's first anniversary year since their fantastic new clubhouse was opened, and the day was also a colourful celebration of community, local sponsorship and of rugby and we are delighted to be supporting them. Go lions!

The junior u9s team faced the u10s in a curtain raiser, before the Open Age "A" team took on Chester Gladiators and was then followed by the Open Age First Team who took on Chorley Panthers. All the matches delivered thrilling performances in perfect weather conditions.

We wish the club and all the teams success for the rest of the season and the future. Thanks to Gareth Rose for the opportunity to sponsor the club.
