Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team and play a crucial role in our estimating department.
The Role
As an Electrical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for electrical projects, ensuring competitive pricing while maintaining profitability. You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to provide detailed tender submissions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for electrical installations in MEP projects.
- Analyse project specifications, drawings, and contracts to determine the scope of work.
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
- Work closely with the pre-construction and project management teams to ensure accurate pricing.
- Identify potential risks and value engineering opportunities.
- Submit tenders in line with company and client requirements.
- Maintain an up-to-date database of material and labour costs.
- Attend client meetings and site visits as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within the MEP industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
