Job Description

Plumbing and Heating Engineer main duties and requirements

Due to a substantial number of ongoing contracts (nationally) within the Commercial / Retail sectors, we are now looking for Plumbing and Heating Engineers to become part of the mechanical team within a growing company.

The successful candidates should ideally have experience of working in the Commercial / Retail sector.

Due to the nature of work – working night shifts, weekends and away from home will be required.

The Plumbing and Heating engineer will be expected to have over 3-4 years’ installation experience of working independently on plumbing and heating systems used in Commercial / Retail sector and completed a formal apprenticeship (NVQ).

The Plumbing and Heating Engineer will be expected to perform the following responsibilities:

  • IInstallation of sanitary wear and waste systems.
  • Installation of hot and cold water systems.
  • Installation/removal of kitchen sinks etc.
  • Installation of POU water heaters, hydroboils etc.
  • Installation of copper, plastic, steel pipe and fittings including jointing methods.
  • Installation / alterations of heating systems.
  • Ability to work from drawings.
  • Experience in working with gas is preferred but not essential.

Qualifications:

  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing and Heating
  • CSCS Card (Trade specific)
